Nacido en Argentina, residente Paraguayo, Mookie Tenembaum es artista, abogado e inventor especializado en la Web. Estudió Derecho en la Universidad Hebrea de Jerusalem, y se especializó en Antropología en la Temple University of Philadelphia. Como abogado, fue también fiscal de la ciudad de Jerusalem. Durante la década del '90 decidió que algunas de sus ideas sólo podían crearse y desarrollarse a través del lenguaje del arte, especialmente de aquel relacionado con las nuevas tecnologías. Por eso, durante los últimos años Mookie se concentra específicamente en la reflexión sobre los distintos problemas vinculados con el Estado por medio de la creación de obras new-media, especialmente de obras on-line. Actualmente, Mookie realiza obras relacionadas con los distintos problemas sociales e ideológicos de Argentina, elaborando proyectos como "Génesis", en el que pone al descubierto, mediante un sistema on-line de generación de "trusts" con personerías jurídicas, cómo el Estado presenta "trampas" en su formulación y eficiencia, que no son fácilmente legibles por la mayoría de los ciudadanos. Mookie, con este tipo de proyectos, las hace visibles, criticando duramente a los aparatos estatales que rigen en Latinoamérica. Persiguiendo objetivos utópicos, Mookie propone mediante sus proyectos la reinvención social y su consiguiente refundación. Sus brújulas para ello son las teorías de George Orwell, J. J. Rousseau y John Locke, al igual que las ideas minarquistas. Experto en Internet y nuevas tecnologías, Mookie es miembro de FiRE (Future in Review) evento que anualmente reúne a cien personas de todo el mundo para discutir sobre los posibles alcances de las últimas novedades tecnológicas y su impacto en un futuro no muy lejano. También es fundador de United Virtualities, compañía de sistemas on-line, y creador de más de veinte tecnologías on-line originales, tales como Ooqa Ooqa (barra de herramientas del Explorer), Shvitzer (remarcador inteligente de texto) y Yachne (mensajero animado en 3D).

Recientemente, su obra "Paranoia" fue premiada con el premio mayor en el Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales 2008, el premio más prestigioso de Argentina.

Born in Argentina, resident Paraguayan, Mookie Tenembaum is an artist, lawyer, and inventor specialized in the Web. He attended Law School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and specialized in Anthropology at Temple University of Philadelphia. As a lawyer, he was also district attorney of the city of Jerusalem. During the 90s he decided that some of his ideas could only be created and developed through art, specially art related to new technologies. Therefore, during the past years, Mookie has concentrated specifically on reflecting on the different problems related to the State by means of creating new-media works, specially on-line pieces. Currently, Mookie is working on pieces having to do with the different social and ideological problems of Argentina, developing projects such as "Genesis", which by means of an on-line system which generates "trusts" with the status of juridical persons, it revels how the State presents "traps" in their formulation and efficiency, which are not easily readable for most citizens. With this type of projects, Mookie makes them visible, strongly criticizing the State apparatus ruling Latin America. Chasing utopic goals, with his projects Mookie proposes social reinvention and, as a consequence, refoundation. His compasses in this goal are George Orwell, J.J. Rousseau, and John Locke's theories, as well as minarchist ideas. An expert on the Internet and new technologies, Mookie is a member of FiRE (Future in Review) an annual event that gathers one hundred people from all over the world to discuss the likely penetration of the latest technological innovations and their impact on a not so far away future. He also founded United Virtualities, a company of on-line systems, and created over twenty on-line technologies, such as Ooga Ooga (Explorer's tool bar), Schvitzer (an intelligent text highlighter), and Yachne (a 3D animated messenger).

Recently, his art piece "Paranoia" was awarded the highest prize in 2008 official National Salon of Visual Arts, the most prestigious award in Argentina.
