RECICLAJE Reciclar es para mí sinónimo de estancamiento y parálisis. No da lugar a nuevas ideas. Tomo como ejemplo al SIDA. Cuando la enfermedad estalló con toda potencia, en lugar de "reciclar", había dos soluciones: la primera (promovida por la Iglesia y George Bush) proponía evitar todo tipo de relaciones sexuales (una solución tipo "reciclaje"). La otra opción fue innovadora y creativa: intentar encontrar un remedio a la enfermedad. El progreso de la ciencia para el control y la cura del SIDA se debió a la segunda opción. Con respecto a la nueva visión sobre reciclaje que propongo, puedo también argumentar que con relación a él, la noción de competencia no tiene sentido, porque en él el éxito no es el objetivo primordial, sino que lo es intentar quedarnos con lo usado, lo viejo. De acuerdo a esta visión de reciclaje, bastaría con sostener siempre el mismo record, "reciclarlo", y no intentar uno nuevo. "Reciclaje" sería: quedarse siempre en el mismo lugar. |
RECYCLING Recycling is to me a synomym of standstill and paralysis. It's like rejecting new ideas. I take AIDS as an example. When the illness broke out so intensively, instead of "recyclyng" it, there were two posible solutions; une (promoted by the Church and George Bush) proposed avoiding any kind of sexual relationship (a"recycling" style solution). The other option was innovative and creative:trying to find a remedy. The progress of science to control and cure AIDS was due to the application of this second proposal. From my point of view recycling makes competence nonsensical due to the fact that success is not an aim. Recycling is trying to keep the old stuff. According to that one should not try to get a new record in life, one should recycle it, without trying for a better score. Recycling would be : always staying at the same point . |
